20 CONCISE LESSONS: music business advice, simultaneous bass and chords, single-note improv and bass, simulating multiple guitars, working with a vocalist, posture and right-hand technique, colorful altered chords, power practicing, melody chords, 12 keys in one position, one key in 12 positions, horizontal scale patterns, scale-free 12 tone improvisation, comping for a bassist and vocalist, harmonics, octave technique, creating your own sound, guitar setup, Jack’s formula for success in "the business", and the student-teacher relationship.
INCLUDES 3 "MINI-CONCERTS": solo guitar, duo guitars, (Jack with Jack on split screen), trio (Jack with vocalist Jill Jensen and bassist John Price)
Jack uses this opportunity to explain his concepts "in person". The excellent DVD is a helpful companion to Jack’s books if you haven’t had the opportunity to study with Jack. This is good preparation if you are planning to attend a seminar.
Many thanks to Jeff Schroedl at the Hal Leonard Corporation for providing Jack with a team of cameramen directed by Richard Slater and a team of recording engineers at The Tanner/Monagle studio.
Thanks to vocalist / interviewer Jill Jensen, bassist John Price, and rhythm guitarist Bob Monagle for appearing on the DVD!
It is not necessary to read music to benefit totally from this DVD. There isn’t any standard notation other than chord and fingering diagrams. You can put your DVD player on "pause" to work out the fingering on your guitar.
