Play with an incredible band on ten "must know" tunes by the great trumpeter: All Blues, Blue in Green, Four, Half Nelson, Milestones, Nardis, Seven Steps To Heaven, So What, Solar, Tune Up.
Miles Davis was born May 25, 1926 in Alton Illinois. He died in Santa Monica California on September 28, 1991. He had quite a career with over 120 recordings. His first record was "First Miles" in 1945. His final CD was "Live at Montreux" in 1991! He wasn’t a virtuoso on the level of his idol Dizzy Gillespie but by 1947 he possessed a distinctive cool-toned sound of his own. His ballad renditions were exquisite yet unpredictable by stripping down the bop vocabulary to it’s essentials.
