It would be hard to give this solid compilation anything but a five star. This is after all the best that Cochran gave us in his short life and his even shorter music career. But for anyone that thinks that Cochran didn't go beyond Summertime Blues and C'mon Everybody, this is essential. He had that deep falsetto that made Elvis such a star, and made him a good interpreter of the slow songs, but it is in the fast rockabilly stuff (with heavy bass lines) that he comes alive and really brings out that youthful and reckless feeling that to me he represents
