Here are 10 compositions by the genius: The Drive, Emancipation Blues, Hoe-Down, I Remember Bird, Miss Fine, Six and Four, Stolen Moments, Straight Ahead, Teenie’s Blues, Yearnin’.

A clearly written book, expertly played on the CD, and plenty of room for you to improvise with the great band: Graham Breedlove - trumpet, John Desalme - tenor sax, Tony Nalker - piano, Jim Roberts - bass, and Steve Fidyk - drums. (Removable piano part.)

Composer, arranger, musician Oliver nelson was born in St.Louis Missouri on June 4, 1932. He died in Los Angeles California on October 27, 1975 unexpectedly from a heart attack brought on by overworking around the clock. Mr. Nelson was a distinctive saxophone soloist, but his writing eventually overshadowed his playing.
